[Greensboro, NC, July 13, 2024] — Jay Mack Community Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of its nonprofit agency dedicated to improving the lives of families and children in Greensboro, NC. With a mission centered on education, empowerment, and support, the foundation aims to create lasting, positive impacts in the community.

Jay Mack Community Foundation was established to address the critical needs of underserved families and children. The foundation's primary initiatives—Thriving Children, Working Families, and Community Engagement—focus on providing educational resources, economic support, and community-building activities. These initiatives are designed to break the cycle of poverty and promote personal and economic advancement.

"We are excited to officially launch the Jay Mack Community Foundation and begin our journey of making a meaningful difference in our community," said Douglas Pearsall, Chief Executive Officer of the foundation. "Our programs are designed to support and uplift families and children in Greensboro, NC.  Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the resources and opportunities they need to succeed."

One of the foundation's first major events will be the third annual Back to School Community Bash, scheduled for August 17, 2024, at LeBauer Park in downtown Greensboro. This event will provide free school supplies to over 300 elementary and middle school students, and will feature vendors, community resources, food trucks, games, performances, a live DJ, and more.

Jay Mack Community Foundation invites businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community members to join in their efforts.
